v  Student Involvement Fair Results
·       Good turn-out, got some people to sign up on our email list and some positive vibes.  BUT, since we had to cancel that night’s meeting due to weather, we’re hoping we didn’t lose new member momentum

·       Follow-up on individual opportunities, get contact names and numbers
·       Follow-up: For school discussions and panels, we need to put together a workshop or library or  something that we will have as a reference to do or for future members to look back on

v  Fundraising
Ø  Vendor ideas?
§  Amy will ask her mom about Village Inn – need follow up
§  Suggestions: donation letters requesting funds, silent auction with prizes donated by local businesses so that they could gain exposure and we could gain funds, selling chocolate bars donated by a company such as Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, selling snacks or a bake sale, selling soup or cider or hot chocolate on a cold day, T-shirts (Hot Stuff/Soup on a Cold Day or Hot Stuff for Sale)  J
Ø  Best Buddies
§  Everyone agreed we should partner up with them
Ø  Fundraising Committee
§  Those interested were: Meghan, Eliot, Hilary, Annabel, & Kelly M.
§  Follow-up: Need to send an email or ask who to put as coordinator of committee
v  Scholarships through Membership
v  Direction of CILA
Ø  What do we want to see happen? What do we want to be a part of?
§  Continue with guest speakers and workshops at bi-weekly meetings, but make sure they go first in case some members have to leave early
§  1 ½-hour meetings, don’t go longer
§  Recruitment is important but should not be a primary focus – build a steady solid membership with current members
§  Follow-up: For recruitment, ask Events & Planning if we are charged to have a table in the UMC advertising our events or giving out bookmarks.  Also, forward the email about chalking guidelines to Annabel & Meghan (who volunteered to chalk for events to try to gain more members)
§  Suggestions for future guest speakers – Courtney previously spoke with me about a yoga instructor who could teach some meditation/anti-stress techniques.  Daniel suggested a quick 30-60 minute crash course on basic sign language phrases and things to know.
v  Logo – Gerard
