Agenda - February 16, 2011

1. Welcome
Attendees: Priscilla, Amy, Hilary, John M., Daniel, Amanda Stewart (from the CU Foundation), Colin, Teresa, Kelly M., Kieran (from ZBT)
2. Guest Speaker: Amanda from the CU Foundation
Amanda spoke with us about a way to raise money for CILA by starting with a letter-writing campaign.        

Hilary is working on creating a template for personal letters for contacts. The idea is that each member can send out about 10 letters asking for donations from personal contacts so that we can fund future events.
2nd guest speaker: Kieran Dunstan from the ZBT fraternity
His fraternity wants to help with fundraising for CILA and other volunteer opportunities.  We'll also help with his "On the Ball" fundraising event.

                Meeting - Friday at 3pm in the Dennis Small Cultural Center of the UMC (4th floor).
        Volunteering Opportunities - Annabel
        Under-represented Student Group (CUSG) 
                We elected Daniel to represent CILA at this group and we hope to organize future events or projects together to spread awareness on campus about our group.
Daniel raised a concern about he is not given voting status on CUSG because he is considered a part-time student due to medical reasons, but since part-time students are largely under-represented on this campus, this raises another issue.

4. Cindy Donahue's "Disability in Society" panel - Priscilla, Annabel and Eliot
        Tuesday, March 1st from 12:30 to 1:45
Teresa will do it and Amy will check to see if she can get out of her class which is at that time
5. We're co-sponsoring a concert with Ethan Johnston, former CILA member and CU student
        Hopefully mid-April, already have a band
        Talk to Priscilla if you are interested in planning
Kelly M. will also be assisting with that
